About Us
Munson for the Race to Cure sarcoma event in New Jersey. Chris was diagnosed with
Dedifferentiated Chondrosarcoma in 2017. Chris wanted to raise awareness for
sarcoma and much needed funds for research by participating in the 2018 RTCS New
Jersey event. Sadly, Chris passed away in January 2019. His wife, family and friends are
dedicated to carrying the torch for Chris’s dream by continuing to raise funds and
awareness for sarcomas. Cause For A Ruckus became a 501(c)(3) in 2021.
Our Mission
Our mission is to honor the legacy of Chris “Ruckus” Munson by passionately advocating for sarcoma awareness and supporting families affected by this challenging disease. Through fundraising efforts we strive to provide support and hope to those navigating the complexities of sarcoma diagnosis and treatment, ensuring no one faces this journey alone.
Our Vision
To create a world where sarcoma awareness is widespread, resources are readily available, and families facing sarcomas receive unwavering support, empowerment and hope, ultimately leading to improved outcomes and a brighter future for all those affected by this challenging disease.
